Juhu Beach, a 7-mile stretch of golden sand with a view of the Arabian Sea in a posh suburb of Mumbai, is popular with both locals and visitors due to its nice climate and relaxed atmosphere. Bollywood film shootings frequently take place there, and you might even see one of the many local movie stars.
Juhu, pronounced [dơʒuɦuː], is a Mumbai suburb. The expansive Juhu Beach is its most famous feature. Santacruz to the south, Versova to the north, Vile Parle to the east, and the Arabian Sea to the west encircle it. Numerous Bollywood celebrities call Juhu home, making it one of the most opulent and pricey neighborhoods in the city. On the Mumbai Suburban Railway’s Western Line and Harbour Line, the closest train stations are Santacruz, Andheri, and Vile Parle. Andheri West and D. N. Nagar are the closest metro stations. Juhu has two small B.E.S.T. bus depots.
On October 15, 1932, J. R. D. Tata, the founder of civil aviation in India, flew in a Puss Moth aircraft to deliver mail from Drigh Road airport in Karachi to Juhu Airport via Ahmedabad.

Juhu enjoys a uniform climate throughout the year.. The summertime high is 35 °C (95 °F), while the lowest temperature is 25 °C (77 °F). Throughout the winter, the temperature stays high. It rains a lot during the monsoon season, which lasts from mid-June until September.
The past
Juhu was an island in the nineteenth century, a long, thin sand bar off the west coast of Salsette that rose a meter or two above
level. You may walk across the tidal inlet to get there during low tide. [3]
“Juvem” was the Portuguese name for Juhu. Agris (salt traders) and Kunbis (cultivators) lived in the settlement of Juhu, which was nestled at its north point. A tiny colony of fishermen and cultivators (Koliwada) dwelt at its south point, across from Bandra island. There were a few Goans living in Juhu, but the majority of the population was Koli. The Portuguese constructed the Church of St. Joseph in 1853.
Bhaktivedanta Swami, often known as Sri Prabhupada, founded the Hare Krishna Movement and constructed the ISKCON Temple in the 1970s.
Juhu Aerodrome, India’s first civil aviation airfield, was established in 1928 and was the main airport for the city until World War II. A group of terror suspects set off a bomb in a hotel in Juhu and several other places in the 1990s.
Juhu Beach
Juhu Beach is situated on the Arabian Sea’s coast. Up to Versova, it is six kilometers long. Unlike Chennai’s Marina Beach, which is mostly sandy, Juhu Beach is composed of short, rocky formations. It serves as a filming location in addition to being a year-round tourist destination. On weekends and public holidays, the beach is usually busier. The ‘Mumbai style’ street cuisine, particularly bhelpuri, pani puri, and sev puri, is the specialty of the food court by the main entrance. Previously providing tourists with joyrides for a nominal price, horse-drawn carriages are now prohibited. Cricket matches, acrobats, dancing monkeys, gift vendors, and young people playing traditional games all compete for tourists’ attention.

Juhu Beach is also a popular location for plane viewing because part of it is beneath Mumbai Airport’s Runway 27 departure path and, on occasion, Runway 09 arrival path. Although there are a number of tiny beach access points throughout the coast, the largest and busiest one is close to the Hotel Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Palm Grove. Since the tide is typically high during the monsoon season of June to August, making it risky to roam the beach, the best time to visit Juhu Beach is from September to May.
Celebrity residence
Many Bollywood stars and a sizable portion of Mumbai’s corporate elite call Juhu’s bustling yet tranquil environs home. Juhu has thus emerged.
